We stayed two nights in one of the rooms (with kitchen) in the oldest part of the building. everything has been renovated with a beautiful blend of modern (the right) and ancient (the many furniture recovered and wonderfully arranged. ) the room is completely made of wood, with a fantastic stove that can guarantee too hot. martin, the owner, is rightly thrilled to show all the works that were made. the location can not be of the most exciting of the area, since it is near the small central of the island (which, like us, as we, as the centrals no problem. the old inn was present first of all.
Great food (and abundant,) excellent friendliness and empathy, both from the chef and (especially) from the kind lady of the room.
One night. my expectations were blown away by the warm and friendly greeting of the owner (mr martino.) the room was very clean and had everything they need for a comfortable stay/slee at 1300m. eating in the restaurant was amazing..authentic, cooked at home (our mama would certainly be jealous.) the staff was friendly and always with a smile. the opposite has a lot of options for very beautiful hikes.so plan for a week at least if you want to cover the most important parts. martino was even so kind to give us a free transfer to chiavenna on the second day. perfect stay! recommended!
Rooms recently refurbished in pine, with wi-fi in public areas. If staying, meals are served with other guest to the chef's specification. Informal, wine flows, overall bill at end. Snack bar basic. Rooms comfortable.
The inn is beautiful because you can breathe historicity in every corner: every detail recalls its presence since 1700! This penalizes a little the comfort of the rooms, even the new ones, which are not just in step with the times. Good restaurant with well-made characteristics. Less breakfast: being an inn that mainly hosts non-Italian walkers, the salty part is definitely minimal....to review.
