Pepper Tree - Macklin
Pepper Tree
Description
Nestled by Highway 31 and attached to a motor hotel, this small-town diner serves solid comfort food — a notably good turkey club — at moderate prices. Staff are generally friendly and accommodating, with free parking, level access, and kid-friendly touches. However, service can be inconsistent and there’s a serious cross-contamination risk for gluten-intolerant diners despite assurances. Best for families, travelers, vegetarians or casual meals; not recommended for those requiring strict gluten-free handling.

I have been picking up orders for a local fellow who is unable to get around easily. The food I am told, highly rated and some of the best food he's had. The staff are very friendly and will accommodate any special dietary requests. Vegetarian options: They can make the dish vegetarian as requested Dietary restrictions: Again they will accommodate dietary restrictions Parking: Conveniently close to highway 31. Kid-friendliness: Children's art is displayed on the walls and we're created by the owner's children Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is level and there is pavement along the building
