What Leonardo H doesn't like about Charlie's Sala Thai Restaurant:
I went here with my family in the afternoon. We ordered tom yum, pad see ew, salt and pepper calamari, massaman curry. We want to order fried barramundi, but unfortunately the fish only in fillet, not a whole fish. So we cancel it. Cos as normal when we ordered barramundi in Thai restaurant, normally they sell a whole fish, not by fillet. Tom yum just got only 2 pieces of prawns, and they're not using fresh mushroom... Walking past the front of this restaurant, it looks to be little more than a simple Thai restaurant. Its presentation is under stated as are the staff. I tried this one on the recommendation of a friend. And wow they were right. The food here has real taste and depth, genuine Thai cuisine. A must try in Canberra. View all feedback.

read moreCharlie's is a cozy little Thai restaurant in Canberra that has garnered mixed reviews from patrons. While some diners found the food to be average in taste and quality, others praised the service and highlighted specific dishes such as the eggplant and pork ginger dumplings. The restaurant is BYO and offers a pleasant dining experience for couples or groups. The staff are friendly and accommodating, providing excellent customer service. Despite some inconsistencies in the mains, the overall consensus is that Charlie's offers good value for money and is worth a visit, especially if you're in the mood for some authentic Thai flavors.
As always, Charlie's was excellent. Best Thai I have found in Canberra. The money bags and Chu Chee Eggplant are outstanding
