This is my favorite restaurant on Cedar Creek Lake. The food is delicious, with a good selection of both meat and vegetable dishes. The chopped sandwich was disappointing as there was no sauce on the meat. The grilled chicken had no flavor and tasted old, so I had to throw it away. The sides were also lackluster, with the potato salad being particularly bland. The restaurant appears clean and the cakes look appealing, but the main dishes and sides were not up to par. I like good food. I like to cook, many consider me to be an excellent cook. When I go out to eat there are times I find a food item that I think is ok, but could be made a little better. At Vicky’s, I ordered the sliced brisket plate with squash and coleslaw as sides.The coleslaw was shredded cabbage with vinegar poured over it, the squash was pieces of squash, zucchini and onion in a bland, tart, sour tomato juice and over salted. The brisket was dry and gave me immediate indigestion/heartburn. I haven’t had indigestion in over 10 years even though I eat a lot of hot spicy Cajun food. I took one bite of each side and two bites of the brisket. I left and went to another restaurant to eat.I’m sure there are some that like their food, but I and my family will never eat there again.

They catered a family event. Great people and sevice. Food was good . The brisket had little smoke flavor and no smoke ring or it would have been a 5 star review.

Looking for something not everyone around here offers is the smoked turkey sandwich...tasty and delicious. Taters used to be much larger but they are still good and soft and can sell out fast on occasion.
