We had lunch in this restaurant when visiting Les Halles de Lyon. We had the plat du jour which was honey sauce pork with potatoes that day and it was really good. The restaurant gets crowded near noon, so I would advice to arrive early or to get a reservation. Nice service and good value for the quality of the food. View all feedback.
What David R doesn't like about Resto Halle:
Fundamentally there's nothing wrong with this place and for an inexpensive experience at the market it's fine. Why am I being hesitant then? Maybe because this is Lyon, home of French gastronomy, moreover this is in a fancy and expensive modern indoor market carrying the revered name of M. Paul Bocuse and so I expect more. Service was fine, no issues, prices were average so again no issues, I guess it's the food and... View all feedback.
Amazing food, great service, super relaxed. Definitely recommend the place and its terrace in the Summer during the week if you’re in a rush... or over the weekend if you want to take your time. Food is great, high quality products! Great value for money! (Be careful with the café gourmand if you’ve already had a lot to eat!
They told us they are closing, it s 15:03 on Thursday. The schedule it s not the one on Trip Advisor.
The trouble visiting this market is wealth of choice ranging from seafood to cheese to Bouchon foods. Resto is more of the latter simple honest peasant fare elevated to a high standard at reasonable prices. We sat upstairs and was served cheerfully and quickly the plat de jour was fish (Filet mignon with peas) at 10€50 with 3 courses (terrine creme caramel) at €16. It was simple delicious all of it. So worth considering this if you cannot decide.

Service was fine, no issues, prices were average so again no issues, I guess it's the food and maybe just my selection. Snails were ok but lacked enough garlic and seasoning for my taste and others at our table. My liver was pinkish inside , that's good but the outside was seared to the point of being slightly crunchy....not good. Overall ok but I probably wouldn't rush back with so much choice all around you.
A typical no nonsense restaurant offering simple specialities from Lyon in the heart of the famous market Paul Bocuse. The service is quick, professional and very friendly. The ideal place for a quick meal after shopping in the market. The only downside is that they do not offer french fries. Just rather soft oven cooked fries but no « frites « …
