Frites Alors - Lyon

Little passage for lunch. The staff is really kind and cool. The atmosphere is nice. about the meal, the poutine is very tasty and we don't stay on our hunger much on the contrary more room for dessert!

Maybe because I've tried the original frites Alors in Quebec I expected more. Fries where ok but not too fresh.

Lovely food but quite heavy and indulgent. I went for the BBQ pork which was delicious but a little greasy towards the end. Great for families.

On our last night in Lyon we decided to visit the restaurant, having looked at the menu in the window several times and resorting to photographing it and looking at leisure to translate in our own time. We then took the plunge, my wife had Galvaude a dish under their Les Poutines section. This was a dish of fries, chicken,onions and cheddar cheese which she found very tasty. I choose from the Nos Hamburgers section choosing Frite Alors! which was a good meaty beefburger, served in a very nice rectangular bread bun and filled with bacon,onions, peppers, salad and mayo served with fries and a sauce of my choice. I ordered a 25cl red wine. The quality of the food I found to be very good and most enjoyable. The staff were young, casual and very pleasant, speaking excellent english and taking time to explain the menu. I would have no hesitation in going back again, although Lyon is the only one in Europe, all the others being in Canada.
