We were surprised that our family of 6 (all vegan) was able to find dishes that pleased all of us. The veggie patty is the impossible burger, so it is very “beef-like” and was a great option for those of us that miss a good burger. What WBLVegan3415 doesn't like about Cascade:
The lone server did their best to attend to the restaurant and bar. However, they were not very familiar with the menu. I ordered two vegetarian sandwiches, but when they arrived, my sandwich was supposed to have portabella mushrooms but instead had tofu. They tried to correct the mistake but fell a little short. This restaurant is one of the few places in northern Minnesota where you can get a vegan/vegetarian meal.... View all feedback.

The vegan burger patty seemed way too much like beef. They assured me it was vegan though. I've been vegan for four years so I've lost the desire for meat and I didn't like it. If you are transitioning and still like the taste I recommend it.
The staff was friendly and the vegan girl sandwich was delicious. They also had vegan mayo and a vegetable burger.
After confirming that most items are cooked in a shared fryer and are not technically vegan, it was noted that there weren't many options available that take this into consideration. An upcharge was added when requesting soup instead of fries or chips, despite the meal being labeled as vegan. Overall, even those in my group who were not vegan did not enjoy the food, finding it overcooked and lacking in flavor.
It appears that Cascade has opened a new location in the last two years as the menu no longer includes the vegan options mentioned in previous reviews, except for the Impossible Burger. Items labeled with "WG" meaning vegan on the menu are limited, with only the Vegan Brot being included. However, the vegetable meats are also vegan. The only vegan options available are the Impossible Burger with the Vegan Bungalow (without mayo), Chalk Bowls (without dressing- can add tahini or ask for other options), Ei, some salads with modifications, and fryed. The creamy avocado dressing contains mayo, and the tahini citrus dressing was reported as not being vegan. A friend was unimpressed with the Impossible Burger, while the American Chalk Bowl was just okay. However, the sweet potato and waffle fries were a hit.
