Cascade - Lutsen
Cascade
Description
Cascade restaurant has undergone significant changes under new ownership in the past two years, resulting in a menu that lacks many previous vegan options. The sole standout is the Impossible Burger, which, while satisfying for some diners, may not impress purists. The establishment offers limited vegan choices, with caveats about shared fryers and extra charges for substitutions. While some patrons enjoyed the sweet potato and waffle fries, others found the food overcooked and lacking flavor. However, for those in search of vegan dining in an area typically devoid of such options, Cascade still offers a few redeeming dishes worth exploring.

We stayed in the main lodge, room 103. The room was cozy and clean. Great place to stay if you want to be close to many hiking trails. The restaurant was fabulous. All the staff was so friendly and accommodating. I would book again if we are up that way.
Rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. The room was clean when we arrived. It's a very rustic hotel and we'll kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing I could complain about is all the dead flies on the inside of the window. Iwould definitely stay here again.
We rented a cabin on September 12-16, 2022 for $920 for 2 and a small dog. It was very shabby and so dirty that we only stayed 2 nights. Our little dog kept eating unknown items from the carpet and there were cobwebs and heavy dust in the corners, behindand under furniture. The windows were in poor shape and very dirty and obviously had not been cleaned in a very long time. Wecould not get a refund.
This location was perfect for our North Shore adventure! We had the honeymoon cabin, which was perfect, it being our honeymoon. The staff went above and beyond to provide for us, from firewood and kindling, to plates for a meal we forgot to pack for. Thelakefront across the street is also top-notch.
