The lobby was dimly lit, and the door was locked when I got there. I had to use the drive-thru, only to be told they were temporarily closed. It seems like this location is always facing problems. Honestly, it might be a sign that eating here isn't the best option.
I have never seen a place with good food but such terrible service. The dine-in is closed, and the drive-thru should be closed too, given how long it takes to place an order. Cars are driving off out of frustration. When you finally reach the window, there are six Wendy's employees standing around laughing and chatting while angry customers have been waiting over 30 minutes for their orders. Wendy's needs to train their staff to be more professional and punctual, or this poor service will drive the business away. Despite the great menu, the overall experience is being ruined by the staff’s behavior.
Wendy's in Lufkin is the worst location I've ever been to. Every time I visit, the service is terrible, and the staff is extremely rude. Tonight, we ordered chili, and the woman informed us that it wasn't ready. She later came back to say they only had one small serving available, despite it being three hours before closing. Were they really out of chili, or were they just too lazy to prepare more? Given their level of customer service, I would suspect the latter.
