Hidden Country - Lowell
Hidden Country
Description
This once-beloved restaurant has garnered a diverse array of opinions that reflect its tumultuous journey. While some patrons cherish its rustic charm and hearty homestyle cooking—highlighting favorites like prime rib and a well-stocked salad bar—others are disappointed by poor inventory and unsatisfactory service. Reports of out-of-stock items and rude management have led to frustration, overshadowing its cozy atmosphere. A troubling incident related to racial assumptions further tarnished its reputation. Despite its eclectic appeal to snowmobilers and locals, a significant portion of recent feedback suggests that revitalization may be necessary for a successful return.

Haven't been here in 5 years, went last night and was greeted by owner Joe St Onge with his usual welcoming smile. So glad we went with another couple for dinner. Even though they seemed understaffed it did not effect the quality of our service. The salad bar was beautiful with a large assortment of salads to choose from. Our cocktails were great and we are so glad we brought our appetites because the food was great! Our delay in returning was no fault of the owners but a distaste for an employee who is no longer there. Hidden Country is interesting and quirky and the bonus is the food is always great!
