Absolutely fantastic food! The staff is incredibly friendly – they really feel like friends! After just a couple of visits, they start to remember your preferences, which is such a nice touch. The food tastes like it’s made at home, and they prepare it right after you order, so you hardly have to wait! The prices are excellent, and the variety of dishes available is impressive! What Will K doesn't like about Fry Daddys:
The restaurant sells fish by the pound, but they don’t actually weigh it; they just make an estimate, and I suspect they’re overcharging customers. I decided to let it slide at the time. The grease tasted old, and I regretted every bite of the clam strips I ordered. While the fish was cooked perfectly, it lacked flavor. The prices are quite high, with fish baskets costing around $15. Had some DELICIOUS Swai here! Their fish is absolutely amazing! Tartar sauce was really good as well, and I am VERY picky with tartar sauce! Seems owned and ran by only two really nice people and it's just such a sweet little small restaurant! I 1000% recommend it
Best open perch fried fish I have ate in quite a while. The place is up for sale the couple are retiring soon . Can't wait til next time I'm in Lowell in 2 weeks to try the deep fried okra deep fried cauliflower and deep fried onion rings and deep fried hush puppies and cod fish . For all of us next time to eat for dinner .
Very good fish. I had cod, my wife had perch. We both loved our meals. Our servers were on the ball and very friendly.
My go-to place for fresh, fried fish! I drive over half an hour each way to Fry Daddy's because they are the best in the area for quality, quantity, and price. Their homemade tartar sauce and hushpuppies are amazing and the menu selection is expansive. The owners are very polite and the food is always fresh, hot and quick to arrive.
Disappointed. I will start there. We decided to try the place because, overall, it was highly rated and we were in the mood for fried fish. We made the 30 minute trek to this place and we ate there. We ordered the 1/2 lb fish, 1/2 lb fries combo and also tried the fried mushrooms. None of the choices were good. The fish was overcooked and very dry. It seemed rather expensive as well. The two combos, mushrooms and two cans of Coke were nearly $40. The cost being the only thing remarkable about the meal. Review rounded up from 2.5
