Red Kitchen - Longview
Red Kitchen
Description
Reopened and refreshed, this lively modern spot serves breakfast all day and a broad menu of craveable comfort dishes — from Cajun tater tots and blackened chicken Alfredo to bacon‑gouda mac and cheese and hearty burgers. Service is usually quick and friendly, with strong coffee, sports TVs and clean, well‑decorated interiors. A few hiccups — occasional inattentive service, missing toppings, undercooked items and reliance on plastic cups instead of condiment bottles — temper an otherwise worth-the-price casual dining experience ideal for families and groups.

I had dinner with my family last night, and we were seated immediately, even though the restaurant was quite busy. Our drinks and food arrived quickly, and our waitress was friendly, regularly checking on us. The food was incredible! Each of us tried something different: the blackened chicken fettuccine alfredo (which had a bit of spice), the French dip, and the bacon gouda mac and cheese with grilled chicken. Everything was delicious! I will definitely be returning.
We stopped here for lunch in the area, and while our server was very friendly, he wasn’t particularly attentive. Our drinks and appetizers arrived quickly and were fantastic. After ordering our main courses, we anticipated their arrival. However, when the food came, we noticed the lack of condiment bottles; instead, they used an excessive amount of plastic cups, which was quite disappointing. We were a group of five and requested ranch dressing, but upon receiving it, we noticed that they had forgotten the bacon on one of the burgers—something we’d paid extra for to ensure it was included. Additionally, my son's pizza was undercooked! Fortunately, the waiter did remove that item from the bill. Despite these issues, we will definitely return because the burgers and drinks were incredible, as were the Cajun tater tots and beer-battered fries.
I visited this new restaurant for the first time today, as it had been closed for many years. We had breakfast and decided to share a large dish meant for one, which turned out to be excellent! The customer service was outstanding, and I have to give a thumbs up for the strong, flavorful coffee! The atmosphere was delightful, and I really liked the new interiors and decorations. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained too. Thank you to the ladies for a lovely breakfast, and compliments to the chef! This place came highly recommended by Mrs. Nash. Looking forward to my next visit!
What a funny place! We arrived at the end of a morning so that the service might have been a bit slow, but they were pleasant, friendly and willing to make the adjustments to our meals without any problems. They served breakfast all day, but also had many other foods. I loved my mess, and they hurled for the potatoes in Zoodles! Great.
The restaurant is clean, the staff is polite, and Food is priced a little high, but reasonable. I had both items that the waiter recommended; bacon wrapped prawns that were delicious but a small amount for the $14 a plate, and the French dip au jus with garlic fries which came with a heafty amount of food and was TO DIE FOR.
