I absolutely love Newk's! It's a great, clean environment, and the food is fantastic. Whenever I visit, I usually order the chicken Caesar salad, which is really good. In the pictures I've attached, you can see a salmon Caesar salad I tried. The salmon was tasty, but I probably wouldn't choose it for my salad again. What User doesn't like about Newk's Eatery:
Was there today. They seemed short handed. A lot of dirty tables, food slow coming out of kitchen and morale seemed low. There were 5 of us. 4 of us had salads, and 1 sandwich. Salads were good, but bread on sandwich was hard as a brick! The mini bar where they keep condiments was almost empty and needed restocking. Just an OKAY visit. Needed improvement. The food was incredible. I was able to sit down and place my order through the app, which let me skip the line. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable.
The food was tasty, but it arrived lukewarm because the temperature inside the restaurant was quite chilly. I would estimate it was around 55 degrees in the dining area, which felt very cold, especially considering it was only 53 degrees outside. We ended up requesting a to-go box so we could eat in the car.
This restaurant is fantastic! They offer an excellent variety of dishes, and it truly embodies what the restaurant with the "P" name aspired to be before it lost its direction. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable. This has become my favorite lunch spot!
Can't say enough about this unique place to eat. Try the potato salad-the best I've ever had. (Except for my Aunt Jane's! The service was way above average. We had the sweetest server. She was so nice and recommended the cake that turned out to remind me of my mother's. It was the caramel yellow cake. Try it. You'll never regret it. This us the Longview Newk's. Best place ever!
Out of the newks locations I've visited, this by far is the best one. Everything is tasty and fresh. They do not skimp out on the ingredients on pizzas (i have ordered pizzas from the bossier city LA location and got maybe 4 shrimp on a pizza before, with paid for extra shrimp). This location if you pay for extra ingredients, you will get what you pay for. It is always nice and clean, i think every time we've stopped here, an employee will be cleaning the restroom and wiping down with disinfectant (restrooms are also usually super clean). Also, very quick service and all of the employees are super friendly. If you are reading this in November 2023, the chicken and dumplings soup is so good. I really like that the dumplings remind me of like potato gnocchi. Newks as a whole company has revamped some things with their menu and app, so if you haven't tried them in a while, give them a try again now.
