We used to work at a local BBQ restaurant in Gilmer but sadly that place has shut down, so we are always looking for good BBQ. Boxcar exceeded our expectations. We were expecting food to be high (since it is BBQ and meat isn’t cheap) but it actually wasn’t very high at all. Me and my husband got the sandwich plates, which came with a sandwich FILLED with meat, and 2 sides. I got a mailman sandwich with mac and cheese and regular potato salad, and my husband got a flying pig sandwich with baked potato salad and mac and cheese. It was all SUPER delicious! We only spent $41.00 including the tip to eat here. The staff was very friendly as well. We will definitely be coming back!

It tasted fine, but it was chocolate pudding and cool whip with Graham cracker crumble. Couldwe call it something else, maybe? Chocolate parfait? It was a giant portion though, so I split it with the table. I 'll be back!
