What Danielle Marie doesn't like about The Garden Gate Cafe:
The atmosphere is alright besides it being a tight squeeze for a large party. So if you have five or more I’d say do not go here. Our waitress was completely rude and had no customer service experience apparently. Our menus were set in the middle of the table all of us struggled to grab them and she watched us all struggle and stood their waiting for us to hand them out ourselves and order drinks never checked on us... This place is very nice. It was pretty packed and we had a big group but they still got us to a table pretty quickly. The front staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was awesome!! Really awesome! Would have given 5 stars but our waitress was very rude. Made us feel like we shouldn't be there or something, Wouldnt make eye contact when getting our order, she didn't come see how we were doing or if we needed anything else at all, only time she came back was to collect the check and she rudely waited and counted right there like we weren't gonna pay right. She really made us feel weird. As I said we were a big group and she could have made a very big tip but instead she got a very little one and we do not want to return.
While typically providing good food and service, large parties may not receive the courteous service. We waited over 45 min and the manager would not accommodate our party even when we suggested we could squeeze everyone into an open table. The manager was very rude and confrontational and made it clear she did not want us there and even said she didn't care if we ever came back. Thankfully we stayed, had a wonderful waitress, and ate some tasty food.Kid-friendliness: If your total party is more than 4, go somewhere else unless your kids aren't actually hungry or you brought your own snacks.

Our waitress was completely rude and had no customer service experience apparently. Our menus were set in the middle of the table all of us struggled to grab them and she watched us all struggle and stood their waiting for us to hand them out ourselves and order drinks never checked on us to see if we were happy with our food. We asked for a refill 3x times and had to ask another gentleman for it finally . She say their and waited while we pulled money out to pay and literally counted it in front of us as if we’re going to runoff with 3 kids and an elder. Worst customer service from this lady wearing rockawear jeans with glitter on the back pockets.
Unassuming cafe, big latte, delicious crapes and huge pancakes. Ate breakfast outside, weather was perfect. Great waitress. Would go back.Food: 5/5
