I’m Visiting The Area With A Local Friend From Here, And It Was His Recommendation To Have Brunch Here, Fabulous Atmosphere, Coffee Liqour, Awesome Shrimp Pour Boy Salad, Our Server Was Amazing, Beautiful Smile Great At Her Job, Made The Experience Fantastic, Wish I Caught Her Name, Would Totally Recommend This Location For Lunch Or Brunch. What Travelingpat2 doesn't like about Lucile's Creole Cafe:
Had heard great things about this place. We waited 20 minutes for a table...we then waited 20 minutes for our food ..the biscuits came out first ..by far the best thing we got. The Eggs Sambor came...Luke warm and looked and tasted as if it had sat somewhere for longer than a few minutes. Service very slow to get tea refills...glad the biscuits were so good. The Eggs Sardou was disappointing. Only three smallish shrimp with no seasoning on them. They looked and tasted like precooked shrimp from the supermarket “shrimp cocktail” The Trout Ponchartrain and Blackened Salmon plates, on the other hand, were both excellent. Lastly: the Beignets looked impressive when they came out, but we’re ultimately disappointing. They all had huge air bubbles inside, and were rather tasteless.
Some of the absolutely best food I've had. Absolutely great service.
Delicious gravy, hardy egg dishes, and delicious beignets. A bit hard to beat the crowd but definitely worth it!
Food here is great. Portion sizes are big so come hungry. The biscuits and fresh jam are a meal in itself, and awesome.
Really awesome place food and people were great. I just wish their chairs were a little more comfortable. But that was the only down side to my experience
