Food and service are amazing. Limited seating in what is a pretty big space. It could be so much better in there with a simple furniture switch out and re arrangement. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
We were staying in Longmont, CO on our way to RMNP, but of course before we head out we need try one of local bakeries, there were a few good ones that popped up but Babettes Bakery caught our eye, highly rated and close by, so you know we had to go try it out. The line was short but we still had time to survey the assortment of treats. These are the treats we decided on: 1. Regular Croissant spot on delicious bigger than most other establishments. 2. Chocolate chip salted cookie A+ moist and a little gooey just the way I like it 3. Croque Monsieur (ham and cheese filled croissant) this was the first thing we devoured before even trying anything else so you know it was good 4. Almond filled morning bun ok so this was a little dry but the filling was great I usually like to heat my morning bun up just a tad but forgot to ask this time 5. Raspberry Tart a little too sweet for us but it could appeal to a real sweet tooth person. Overall everything was good, but the first three items stood out for us. The latte and coffee were good as well. If you are in the Longmont, CO area and are looking for a nice morning treat and beverage this place will not let you down. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Nothing like taking some time off to see if they have learned to not burn their items only to come back and get some more burned food. Bro says it's supposed to look like that. Sure, maybe if you've never looked at a loaf of bread before.
I love the food here but man the attitudes of the owners is unbearable. They act like they're the most prestigious bakery in the United States which leads to some pretentious pricing $25+ for a 13 pizza?!? Get over yourselves). I'm sure they'll screenshotthis review and post it on their Instagram story because they can't handle any kind of negative feedback and act like childrenwhen someone leaves them a review they don't like.
Walked over to this place on a visit to Longmont. The reviews for the baked goods are spot on, exactly what I was looking for on a Sunday morning. Yes, they are pricey for Colorado standards (pretty much on par with Tartine in SF?quality and price wise). Iwas told somewhat politely that dogs aren?t allowed in the bakery, which I understand for dining in (Which I obviously wasn?tintending on doing). For walk up/to go orders I really don?t see why they aren?t allowed. Their outdoor seating is dog friendlyI?d assume?but maybe I?m wrong. I?d love to come back here before I leave, but I?m just not entirely keen on supportingbusinesses that have a very outspoken no-dogs policy. Update based on owner?s response: I had no intention of dining in, andwas making a purchase through the separate entrance indicated. Regardless, thank you for your lengthy explanation and response.
