I KNOW THIS PLACE FOR ABOUT AT LEAST 20 YEARS THE FOOD IS ALLWAYS VERY GOOD AND THE SERVICE FAST AND GREAT PIZZA AND GARLIC KNOTS AND GREAT LUNCH DINNER
For a corner eatery with a Greek-Spanish name, Gyro Uno serves up a good slice of pizza. My veggie slice was fresh, savory, tasty, with a tender crust crispy on the bottom and slightly thicker than a traditional NYC slice. The crust bones (edge) is more of the crackery variety, instead of bready. A clean, good Astoria pizzeria Italian Greek food place with plenty of seating.
The food here is excellent! They've been around for a long time, which speaks volumes about their quality.
