We were hungry and the restaurants on the main... read more It has been a bit since we have visited Longbeach. Of course we go down on Labor Day weekend with everyone else. We were hungry and the restaurants on the main drag either couldn't sit our size group or the wait was long. Found the Chowder Shop one block off on Google Maps and 5 minutes later we were at our table. The waitress was very friendly, though a small seating area, it was a good environment. The food was delicious and well priced. BEST sweet potato fries EVER!!! Found a new spot when we venture that way.

All three were d... read more Our group was hungry when we got to Long Beach and this place really hit the spot! We ordered the fish and chip, chowders and halibut sandwich. All three were delicious! You really can't go wrong. I like that they let you order half sweet potatoes and half regular fries if you can't decide between the two. The halibut was perfectly cooked, not over breaded, and the fish was nice and soft on the inside.

We had a small bowl of clam chowder( which was plenty) and a 2 piece halibut and fries plate. We thought everything was great. The chowder was really good. It was worth the stop the halibut again was worth the stop. To all my friends if in Long Beach Washington stop for breakfast or for lunch I don't believe you will be disappointed one bit

The restaurant has a charming, small space that is definitely worth a visit. The staff were friendly and accommodating, although they did not have a kids menu, it was easy to split a meal between two children.

Really have to hunt for clam in the clam chowder. It was extremely thick with a very few potato pieces and fewer clam pieces. No flavor except salt and pepper. Garlic bread had no discernible garlic flavor, very little butter.
