What User doesn't like about Papalucci's:
Ordered from them when I first arrived in LB. Not impressed. Food is mediocre at best and slapped together. Ordered chicken addition to my pasta, it was ignored. Service when I called was rude and said no chicken was ordered though it was obviously on my receipt and paid for. Buona Gente is much better, quieter, more personable and the food is far better. These guys wouldn't know Italian or Sicilian if it bit them on... View all feedback.

My favorite Italian restaurant outside Italy!!! I live in Chicago and I make it to a point to come here every time I am in town: the staff and the chefs are great the owner is great: my favorite are the garlic nodes, spicy marinara extra sharp on angel hair pasta, and the calzone dessert!
Frequent flyers since the joint is open... We'll miss you.
Great food (Lanagna with meat sauce is my favorite) but many other delicious items on the menu. The Pisano is another good one for me, excellent pizza too. Service is good, we try to get there sooner in the evening, since it is later somehow busy, although the service is not affected, with the place full, the noise level goes much higher. Can be the best Italian in Long Beach!
This is a nice little find on second st. The lunch specials are somewhat limited only a few dishes come with meat. Otherwise it's mainly pasta, sauce and cheese. Still the quality and quantity are there and I'll be back to try something different.
