Feedback
Ellie's in Long Beach offers a cozy interior, albeit with outdoor seating that may leave something to be desired. While the food is overpriced, the dishes are well-balanced and flavorful, such as the Farfalle and Orecchiette. The servers are attentive and knowledgeable, making dining at Ellie's a delightful experience. The ribeye with Diane sauce received high praises, but the risotto was undercooked and overly peppery. The bread board is a must-try, featuring unique offerings like caviar butter. Despite some shortcomings, Ellie's stands out for its professional staff, bustling atmosphere, and exceptional service, making it a top dining destination in Long Beach.
Ellie's, I love you . Todays dinner Date with the wife is truly amazing. This place is Pretty solid its a small location a lot more outdoor seating than inside. Our appetizer consisted of feep fried Mashpotato Croquette with a purée, that alone was Amazing, fried to perfection and don't get me started on the purée that was Divine. (I would like that everyday thank you) Compliments to the Chef ! Superb. 2nd dish I had was The Flannery Beef Ribeye, by all means this is a Must ! This purée and sauce was also inspiring went extremely well with the Ribeye, it was cooked to perfection and even had a slight crisp on the edges of the ribeye, lovely touch, this is also a Must have Dish. Had some veggies in there too. The last dish I shared with the wife was Risotto Carbonara, We truly expected a little more from this dish. I expected this plate to take my breath away, it had braised beef tongue and an egg yolk, the plate alone look Beautiful. By all Means I don't want to misinterprete that this wasn't a good dish. It's a great dish, it certainly took my breath away with the amount of pepper that was in it and the Risotto was undercooked, it was a bit crunchy at times. But the flavor of it was unimaginable, it was great for my taste I think it needed a few more minutes and less of the pepper again for I want to make it clear For My Taste. Over all this place stands out, The staff is friendly and attentive. Certainly a place to come back to. Parking is Horrible I do recommend you going earlier to find parking. See you guys soon, might take some of that Purée home .
Delightful and tasty. Wait staff are excellent and caring. Menu has some daring options but great for a group of 4 to share and explore. I wish they had mixed drinks and not just wine. Warm atmosphere inside, very relaxed dining outside. Parking is complete nightmare and only by the luck you carry will you be fortunate to stumble upon something within 4 blocks.
Ellie's is one of those great neighborhood finds that produces great food, professional staff and is always busy. Veteran move- take a rideshare ride to the restaurant as parking is in a residential neighborhood and nonexistant. Arancini is to die for BTW. I have never been disappointed.
Fabulous hidden gem. Lovely staff and AMAZING CHEF. Service was good but our waiter forgot to put in our desert order mid meal. It takes 20 min to make and so we opted out. It was a disappointment. Otherwise great food. I had the lasagna which us enoughfor at least 2 people to share. We also ordered the loin of lamb and another pasta dish which was a bit salty. Order the breadboard! It is extraordinary. Caviar butter, pork butter and an assortment of snax and delicacies. Definitely a five starexpirience but the missed desert forced 4 stars. Will I return? Absolutely.
Minus 1 star-?? for ignoring me. It took awhile before anyone acknowledge me. Finally a server came by and asked me if anybody had taken my order apologized. His kindnesses and attentive attitude made my experience great (I think his name is Tim). Thankyou Tim for acknowledging me. I love the unique flavors. Delicious food. warning finding parking is a major problem
