Usually carryout which is always amazing. Went to eat in and didn't get waited on soon enough or often enough and never got the beer I ordered. Great Food! Best Chinese on the peninsula.. oh wait.. it's the only Chinese on the peninsula ???????????? View all feedback.
What Tracy S doesn't like about Chen's:
Remember back when Chen’s was SO GOOD? Maybe just don’t order crispy sesame chicken, because it is 100% not as menu describes, or sweet sour chicken. UGH so disappointed. Please just take that chicken dish off the menu or update your descriptions to warn all the chicken is that gross battered stuff with no flavor. View all feedback.
In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king... This place is totally sufficient but in the lack of options it's GREAT! The crispy sesame chicken is their best item and very delicious! Orange and lemon chicken are quite citrus-y but still really yummyand the fried rice is 10/10. The staff is really nice and helpful as well,
This restaurant is a fun place to visit. My wife and I first came here over 15 years ago, and we recently returned for the pan-roasted noodles. This time, we brought our kids along and had a great family meal. It's definitely worth a visit for families.
I ordered two servings of sesame chicken with fried rice for around $30. It was enough to feed me, my husband, and our three children, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I was concerned that the two sauces that were included wouldn't be sufficient, but we ended up not even needing the extra one.
The service at this restaurant was very slow, taking over 45 minutes before we were able to even place our order. Despite there being only 2 tables occupied when we arrived, a table that came in after us was served before us. The wait was not worth it as the food was not enjoyable. The only thing that was warm was my water. The quality of the food was disappointing, especially considering my previous experience two years ago. Unfortunately, it will be a while before I decide to give this restaurant another try. It's a shame as it used to be one of our favorite spots in the city.
I have bad reviews especially during this time. that said this is not the first bad meal we had there. we thought we would try to be fair after the first bad meal. everything was very disappointing and cooked. I had never had hard pork foo young the egg roll was hard like a rock, like the crabs and sweet and acidic pig. teeth break hard. I don't like to give it a bad rating, but money is tight and I would hate that friends or family spend their money and as disappointed as we were. I hope the things will improve, but we will not be back.
