This cafe looked promising, as they had his favorit... read more I was driving around Long Beach a week ago, looking for a mid day meal after I picked my son up from school. This cafe looked promising, as they had his favorite California roll as well as sandwiches which I was craving . So, I found this cool little cafe via Yelp and called to figure out exactly where it was located. The lady on the phone informed me it was behind the bank, so I parked and paid the meter. We walk around the corner and start browsing the menu, the woman asks us if it's good we are looking for food and I confirm. She tells me they have just closed at 3PM and are no longer serving food. I turned around and left, but could not believe I wasn't warned about their closing time as I had called 5 minutes earlier. I found the woman a bit rude. We ended up at the nearby Jersey Mike's. I won't be back to Cafe 301, I understand closing time is closing time, but with an open door and no warning via phone, I was quite appalled at the way I was turned away.

Worth the wait, only 2 people wotking so take a little longer to get a hot breakfast but everything was cooked perfectly. Will be going back everyday im here. C... read more Worth the wait, only 2 people wotking so take a little longer to get a hot breakfast but everything was cooked perfectly. Will be going back everyday im here. Crispy bacon, crispy hashbrowns and my eggs were actually over medium like i ordered. Alsoreally good sourdough.

Th... read more If you're anywhere near the Westin Hotel check this place out as an alternative to expensive hotel breakfast fare. Cafe 301 does an after breakfast menu too. The bagels were fresh and warmed just enough. The fillings were ample and tasty. If I'm backin Long Beach overnight I'll definitely be back for breakfast.
