What Mike Dociu doesn't like about Hungry Harbor:
The food was fine. My toddler was not allowed to drink from her water bottle, which made her cry. This is not world-ending, she's a toddler and crying is not uncommon for her. However, if I'm going to get a burger or fish and chips, why would I go here and not one of the other 10 or so spots with the same menu that won't upset her? It seems excessive to me. Their food is always very good, their chowder is my son's favorite. Fast friendly service. Great selection. Old fashioned drive in type of food. Family friendly.
We went off season. Yummy fresh made daily chowder. No frills.
The most amazing staff and owner. They have great hamburgers, and their gluten free bun is awesome, most fall apart or taste poorly, but this one was very tasty. If you are celiac then this will be safe. We ate there many times on our 2 week trip, the fries and bacon cheese burger were both gluten free and worth trying.
Great atmosphere. Traditional delicious diner burgers and fries. Decent prices and portion sizes. Lois, the owner, stopped by the table and had a great chat. Seating is available inside with social distancing.
We ordered a few burgers, the nachos Supreme, and I ordered an oyster burger with a meat patty. The burgers themselves were delicious and HUGE! The nachos were so large, my daughter didn't even eat half of them before tapping out. The fries, sadly, were very greasy. Was very nice atmosphere and they also had bottled water for just 25 cents, which was great
