Visit: 28 December 2021 Mixed feelings! Welcome: maximum 1 star, unfriendly lady behind the desk. Looks like she doesn't want customers, When asked if there can be dinner at 17:25 the answer is no, there is no dinner possible. Correct: but at 17:30 dinner is server (tip from another customer).... Strange! But all was compensated by the waitress!!! Friendly, service with a big SMILE!!! Food is good: tasteful and nice.... View all feedback.
Great historical pub. I literally felt like I had stepped back in time. It's a Samuel Smith pub with great beer and friendly staff
Very old pub with a great history back to the great fire of London. Beautiful interior of wood give a warm, comfortable feeling. Samuel Smith ale on the hand pump and really delicious to drink. Honestly, one of the biggest pubs I have in London and make it a jewel.
I had a nice evening here. Ate the devilled whitebait, and fish and chips. Both dishes were plentiful and very nice. The beer was also top-notch. Everything's possible, because of Simona. I went in spontaneously and she made sure I got a place to eat. Give the girl a raise, she's doing an enormous job. Thank you.
Great historical pub. I felt literally as if I had resigned in time. It is a Samuel Smith Pub with great beer and friendly staff
We had a great time at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese! They have a ton of rooms open for drinking, however only one for eating. For those interested in dining, go in through the main door and turn left into the dining room (it's small room so make sure you either have reservations or come early). We didn't have reservations but they were able to seat us (party of 2) right away on a Friday night. I highly recommend their steak and ale pie! It was delicious and I would definitely go back the next time I'm in London.
