The dining experience was overpriced for what was offered. The server lacked knowledge about the wine list. The table setup was not conducive to discussions for a large group. Overall, the meal was average but too expensive, so I would not return. View all feedback.
Service and food were excellent a bit loud for my old ears, but the hustle and bustle of the place was vibrant and entertaining.
This is a lovely restaurant in great position on Sloane Square. We went for breakfast on way to Chelsea Flower Show. The food was good but the service was really slow. Had to ask three times before I got my coffee. The staff were great I just don’t think there were enough of them. Shame because everything else was good.
Gorgeous vegan food. Nice cocktails and service too. Needed air con though
The restaurant was not busy, but it took ages to get anyone’s attention and to get served. One of the customers who was sitting next to us made this point to one of the waiters. “We are not a fast food place”, was the waiter’s answer. Is that really acceptable to talk to customers like that? A lady waitress who served us was very pleasant and helpful, the food was good, but even all that combined could not improve the overall impression that The Botanist are doing a favour to their customers by bothering to serve them.
Hostess was welcoming and prompt at showing us to our table. Our waiter took half an hour to bring water. Another half hour to take our food choices at which point he then informed us of food missing off the menu. Wine came half way through the meal. Waiter then disappeared. Three tables left all experiencing the same lack of service. No offer of coffee or dessert. Had to leave the table to ask someone to bring our bill. Food however was delicious.
