What robert smith83 likes about Star of Bombay:
A beautiful little Indian restaurant. Wonderful food. The best Indian I ever had in London. I can definitely recommend the tandoori mixed grill. Wonderfully presented good taste and good size portion. It comes complete with a naan and a curry sauce more like a tomato soup, absolutely beautiful. Very good price. If you go, remember to pay only what you have, any cash tips. We had a great meal and I can't complain, apa... View all feedback. What Gakeitse doesn't like about Star of Bombay:
I hadn't been in this restaurant for over 20 years and it was like stepping back in time. We had thalis, meat and vegetables. Big rations and the food was fine, but nothing special. The version included a meat dish to the vindaloo that was a surprise with the inevitable consequences! Regid with a beer. View all feedback.

read moreStar of Bombay, located in London, offers a mix of experiences according to recent reviews. While some found the food well-prepared and delicious, others were quite disappointed. One visitor mentioned the spoiled salad and unsatisfactory service, while another found the curry to be bland and not freshly made. However, there were also positive comments, with one reviewer dubbing it the best Indian restaurant they had visited in London. The tandoori mixed grill was highly recommended, praised for its presentation, taste, and portion size. Despite mixed reviews, Star of Bombay seems to be worth a visit for those looking for a traditional Indian dining experience in London.
Seems coconut is the only flavoring they haveWhether it was the Chana masala or the butter chicken or the peshwari nan it all tasted like coconut.
Delicious Indian food served in a beautifully decorated dining room.
We're visiting London from Seattle, another city with a large Indian expat community.
