When we first went, it was brilliant. booked by open table to go back, but when we arrived there was the place in darkness. no phone answer, no notification in the window, no notifications from open table. very disappointed View all feedback.
What Bodo Götz doesn't like about Encant:
Used to love this place and recommend it to everyone but menu, service level, and ambiance are going down hill. Lots of good dishes not on the menus anymore. Lighting is really bright and no effort to ventilate the place so you leave smelling like oil, and service isn’t very professional anymore. The place needs some TLC. View all feedback.
The food at this restaurant was delicious and more creative than other tapas places. The batatas bravas were especially good. However, the service was awful and unprofessional. The manager was more interested in socializing with other customers, blamed mistakes on the bartender, and even forgot part of our order despite writing it down. The lack of ventilation in the venue left our clothes smelling strongly of fried food. Overall, while the food was great, the service and atmosphere left much to be desired.
We did not end up having dinner at Encant. I received a phone call on the day of our reservation informing me that the restaurant was closed. Interestingly enough, just the day before, I had received an email reminding me of our reservation. Our initial experience at Encant was very enjoyable.
This restaurant is a fantastic find. It has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, and it is conveniently located in the center of town. I highly recommend it.
