The outdoor terrace is a perfect oasis for sunny days, offering picnic chairs and great drink deals. While the architecture may be a bit dated, the welcoming staff and selection of drinks make this a solid spot for a visit. Despite limited food and drink options, the overall experience is positive, with a mixed crowd and helpful staff. Whether enjoying Wray Nephew cocktails or delicious chicken wings, guests are sure to have a good time and plan on returning. An ideal spot for gatherings and events.
Enjoyed the visit and the limited food menus drinks somewhat limitedno ale and wine by the bottle rather overpriced
This vibrant pub offers efficient service at the bar and reasonable prices for its location. The outdoor area is spacious with plenty of seating options, providing a lovely retreat from the nearby busy roads. With ample room for groups or events, as well as a good selection of tables, it is an ideal spot for gatherings. The bar itself is beautiful, and I definitely plan on returning.
I went with a friend after a theatre show without booking before and we will definitely be back! the pub is beautiful, eating is delicious and the staff on Tuesday has welcomed us and looked after. I recommend it to everyone!
The duke of somerset is a great place for a sunny day. they have a fantastic terrace with picnic chairs surrounded by green, so it is a bit of an oasis from the huge buildings of the city. also the drinks are sooo good priced, I paid £3,50 for a glass red wine £6,80 for a double shed with fever.
Excellent service and friendly atmosphere. exactly what I was looking for, fast eating delicious and a relaxed pint. will be back soon.
