What User doesn't like about Lin's Garden:
my cousin from vermont has probably used more taste in a meal than this place throughout her career. each dish was bland and the extra spicy Thai dish was about as sharp as its average russet kartoffel. you're better off getting frozen meal times because I'm pretty sure they were served anyway. I cannot understand how this restaurant is still operating. I recently spent $31 on food that was all terrible. The chicken, pork, and beef were overcooked, undercooked, and chewy. The beef was the worst of all. This place used to be good when they first opened about 13 years ago, but now the quality has severely declined. They even served boiled yellow rice instead of fried rice to cut corners. Overall, a disgusting and unwelcoming experience.
I ordered lunch online, choosing Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and Shrimp Egg Fu Young. I paid an extra $4 for additional shrimp on each plate, but did not receive it. The fried rice resembled more of yellow rice, and the Fu Young patties were overly crunchy and soaked in oil, with an overwhelming taste of imitation crab. When I called to inquire about the missing shrimp, the restaurant defended their mistake. In the past, I would have been more vocal about the issue, but I am in a different place in life now. This experience was enough for me to decide that it was my first and last time dining at this establishment, and I would not recommend it to others.
My husband, my mother-in-law (when she was alive), and I used to frequent this restaurant at least twice a week. I recently tried their delivery service and ordered the orange chicken on either June 28th or 29th. The total cost was $30, including a $5 tip. Unfortunately, the quality of both the food and service has declined significantly. The orange chicken I received was incredibly spicy, to the point where it was inedible. Even my husband, who loves spicy food, could not eat it. When I called to complain, they simply brushed it off, saying I should have specified my preference for milder food. I enjoy spicy food, but this was beyond that - it was like torture. I have never experienced such extreme heat from a dish before. I took one bite and immediately knew I could not eat it. I would not recommend this restaurant. The decline in food quality and lack of concern for customer satisfaction make it a disappointing dining experience.
I ordered these dishes for takeout and was highly impressed by how well-packaged my food was. The shrimp was larger than I anticipated, and I will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again to see if the quality remains consistent.
I have been frequenting Lin's for years. It is the only Chinese restaurant in the area that knows how to make authentic gravy, not brown sauce, for their egg fu young.
