On the positive side, the service was excellent; our server was sweet, kind, patient, and attentive. However, the burger was one of the worst I've ever had. Our group of nine included people ages 12 to 82, and four of us ordered the burger. We all shared the same opinion: it was very dry, lacked seasoning, and the bun was burnt. It really needs reevaluation. The same goes for the mac and cheese. Also, the brown gravy should definitely come with the mashed potatoes, as it pairs wonderfully with them. The carrots were delicious, though. Overall, while the service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was beautiful, the food left much to be desired.

Now the only thing I didn't like is the chicken fried steak was very thin, way too much breading in my opinion, and it was kind of tuff, not tender at all. The chicken thigh was very good along with all of the other sides. I do recommend! The chicken fried steak could def use some work but otherwise it's delicious. Bon Appetit and Happy Eating!

The food is incredible, with great... read more I’ve lived in large metropolitans with great food, and Commerce Cafe is up there with one of my favorite restaurants to dine. The food is incredible, with great flavor pairings. The cocktails are wonderful. They are all fresh and nothing synthetic . Theatmosphere is comfortable yet stylish. The service is always great. When I come to Lockhart it’s a must that I stop by anddine here!
