Pit master didn 't change his gloves when he left from behind the counter into the dining room touching the front door, railings, putting his gloved hands in hi... read more Pit master didn 't change his gloves when he left from behind the counter into the dining room touching the front door, railings, putting his gloved hands in his front pockets then he came to cut my brisket with the dame gloves on I had to stop him and tell him to change those filthy gloves that he cross contaminated with. I spoke to a manager after they read my Yelp review he seemed not too overly concerned that it didn 't happen, but it did. My family has eaten here for over 100 years, and this is what happens after the old heads are gone. I will eat @Terry Blacks BBQ from now on cleaner and nicer.

Today that unfortunate streak ended and I had their brisket ?which was as perfect as any I?ve had in my 72 years?fromanywhere! Moist, tender, meaty, flavorful and delicious! Ribs were good, sausage was a personal like, sides good, sauce good.Easy to manipulate through the service line. Friendly servers. Worth every damned dollar! Black?s (and a trip to Lockhart, BBQCapital of the World), is destination-venue worthy! I hope this place never changes. A Texas BBQ Institution that meats thehype!??

If you get a plate for lunch, expect to spend $20-30 for your plate. The peach cobbler was a bit disappointing. It tasted like straightmolasses or something really sweet with no other flavors. The mac cheese and creamed corn were out of this world. Their BBQsauce is good and well balanced with flavor. Parking is free and adequate. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
