I had the Ham Chop, which came w... read more My wife and I visited Range Life for the first time last week, knowing that it had received rave reviews. It didn't disappoint. I had the Ham Chop, which came with cherries as a great accompaniment. My wife had the halibut, which was both delicately flavored and nicely seared.The building looks historic i.e. a detached brick structure. I write this since the building's size and age adds to the ambience of the place. They have a pretty extensive wine list and several interesting local beers, both of which we sampled to accompany our food.Shout-out to our wait person (Kendall), who was very attentive but not overbearing.We'll definitely be back!Parking: Livermore downtown parking is right across the street from the restaurant.

Food was perfectly paced and was a nice change away from highly seasoned food most restaurants are featuring today. Here the food's tastes are so very complimentary to each other in a dish. Portions are just right. While parking can be a problem if you are disabled there is a temporary city lot open to all opposite the restaurant and down a bit.
