Chapps
Description
A neighborhood sports bar with big TVs, drink specials, darts and pool leagues, and ample parking that often feels welcoming and lively. Hospitality varies—nights with seasoned bartenders are excellent, while others suffer slow or distracted service. There’s no kitchen (pizza delivery is suggested). Patrons enjoy strong drinks and a convivial crowd, but troubling reports of chemical odors and suspected illicit activity in the restroom, occasional favoritism, and staff turnover raise safety and consistency concerns. Good for casual sports-watching and games, but weigh the service and safety risks.

Really nice staff, spacious, ample parking in area. Leagues for Darts and Pool, so call ahead to go on the proper night if you are into these. Big tv and variety of drinks and specials nightly!
Fantastic bar! The service is friendly and prompt! The place is very well-kept! I’m looking forward to enjoying some live music on my next visit!
While I was in the restroom, I overheard two women in the large stall next to me. There was a clicking noise, and I recognized one voice as the bartender’s, accompanied by a raspy older woman. I noticed smoke rising from their stall, and it had a chemical odor. After they left, I was curious and took a look. There was a trash can next to the toilet with a shopping bag halfway inside. Inside the bag, I found something wrapped in a sock, a torch, and what appeared to be a digital scale. I’ve attached a picture for reference. It’s unclear what has happened to this establishment, but this visit has left a very negative impression on us. We won't be returning.
The bartender's boyfriend was allowed to compete in the costume contest and won against others who had impressive costumes, all because he is associated with the bartender. It felt like a scam.
Visited the first about 5 years ago with my wife. The gentleman behind the bar, Mike, made us feel really comfortable introduced us to lots of people. It was really busy for a Monday. We had a blast and made it a point to stop in everytime we were in town. When COVID was big it was only place open we also met a really sweet man named Matt who also made our visit amazing. About two years ago it changed lots of new bartenders who seems to be more interested in entertaining their friends and drinking than bartending. Mike came in about halfway through the night and hopped behind the bar and got us taken care of and turned our night around. The bartender that was there was nowhere to be found for awhile. We have been back less than we used to, and have recently on returned on nights when either Matt or Mike are working. As any other time the experience has been quite terrible. 20 minutes to get a drink with an empty bar. Getting ignored and leaving because the bartender was drawing a picture on the mirror and told us to wait a damn minute so we left. Not sure who or what happened but whatever it was has basically ruined this place for us. If we do come back it will be on a night we know Matt or Mike are working.
