I visited for an early breakfast. This is a bustling little cafe with an extensive blackboard menu. I choose the Breakis Burger. What a surprise this was. The egg was cooked in the style of a Spanish Omelet and served with crispy bacon and green leaves. What User doesn't like about Benchtop Espresso:
Have been here a few times. Have had some nice coffees but sometimes lately coffee has been ordinary unfortunately. Food is nice with some interesting choices. Waitresses always very friendly. Lately a disappointment has been coming here on cold mornings, it can be freezing inside the place. We asked the waitress whether the heater could be switched on, she checked with the owner who sent her back with a lame excuse... View all feedback.
If you're after a great coffee, that's your place. We drove through and Googled best coffee in Lismore and this place appeared. It didn't disappoint! Nice coffee. Only to catch is you have to have it on Full Cream or Lactose... Free milk, they do no other kind of milk, no problem for us, but could be for others.
Staff were friendly and helpful with my selection from their light meal menu. Delicious! They also provide filtered water and encouraged me to refill my water bottle any time.
This lovely little cafe has good food, good coffee and friendly staff so for me it ticks all the boxes. You can sit in the lane way or on the footpath, your choice.
Coffee was great and the staff friendly, but the Veg Mediterranean was not edible. Get your act together.
We have made some stops in Lismore from time to time and have average experiences. On this, our first visit to Bench Top, we were so impressed. The coffee was very good. Great extraction, silky cremà and just the right casting. The bacon and the burger were delicious. Fluffy eggs, big bacon, light rolls and fresh spinach. And finally the service. I do not exaggerate when I say it is the best service we have received in a very long time. Warm, polite welcome with smiles from everyone. Thank you, Bench Top Team. We will come back
