O Ato translates as “The Act.” The restaurant is located adjacent to a historic theater in Rossio Square. Originally we were intrigued by the beautiful tiles on the exterior of the restaurant....Once inside we were greeted warmly by the attentive staff. Unlike so many restaurants, the staff was not out on the street waving the menu to get people to come in. The food was excellent grilled octopus for my wife and shark for me. Both meals were prepared perfectly. The wine and the regional desserts were equally as good! We enjoyed ourselves so much on our first visit that we returned to O Ato for our final meal in Lisbon. We shared the braised short ribs for two, which were wonderful Kudos to Ruben and Pedro for the excellent service and to the chef. Should we return to Lisbon we will return to O Ato.
