While I understand th... read more My recent visit to Contrabando left me with mixed feelings. Despite having made a reservation, I was seated outside, which was unexpected. While I understand the constraints faced by restaurants, clearer communication about seating arrangements would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, the service fell short of expectations. Our server seemed overwhelmed and inattentive, resulting in delays in taking our orders and receiving our food. Disappointingly, the dishes arrived after a long wait, indicating issues with kitchen coordination. On the positive side, the menu offered a variety of Mexican dishes, albeit with mixed results in terms of flavor and presentation. While some dishes were enjoyable, others lacked finesse and authenticity. In conclusion, my experience at was somewhat disappointing. Despite the pleasant outdoor ambiance, the cold service and inconsistent food quality detracted from the overall dining experience.

While we were there, the staff was lazy. We sat down at 7 (while our booking was for 8) outside having drinks. We ordered and the staff didn't tell us our order... read more While we were there, the staff was lazy. We sat down at 7 (while our booking was for 8) outside having drinks. We ordered and the staff didn't tell us our order was not included in the discount from thefork. He first tried to pull a fast one, giving us the bill without the discount from thefork. We asked for the discount. They gave us the discount only on 2 products. We were ordering food in from of the waiter and he did not tell us our order was not included in the discount. We politely asked the server to check thefork's menu with us to show him what it said. He refused and became hostile so we told him we wouldn't pay that bill and that we would call the police. He became aggressive and hostile once again. He started to attack my intelligence and logic following abilities. He started to escalate in a table full of lawyers. Horrible.
