We decided to go here after reading about the wings on another review website. We were seated outside as we never had a reservation. Ordered the drinks and the food at the same time as the service was quite slow. Wings were good, quite salty, blue cheese sauce was ok as it wasn’t overpowering. The portions were huge! We also got a 50% discount on the whole ticket, so we ended up paying a fraction of the price for a lot of plates, great wines, and cocktails. I think they specialize in meats, but I’m more of a fish person, so I went with a salmon ceviche. The burgers looked really good too. The service from both the girl and the guy was super friendly. It’s a great place to go with a big group of people, and I highly recommend it for special occasions. We didn’t go with reservation because it was Wednesday and we arrived early; but it’s preferable to reserve. We choose this restaurant for a nice Friday night dinner because we know the food is usually good. We got the table downstairs in front of the toilet and very close to the main door, which was constantly open hence it was very cold. I asked the waiter if we can move table upstairs where I used to sit before, also 2 people) he said no, there are no 2 people places upstairs. I was surprised, so when the other waiter came asking me if I 'm ok all this time sitting with my coat and scarf on) I was like well is super cold here, could we change table or at least close the door. At this point a guy comes up to me saying he is the gerente and i can ask as many people I want, there Will be no other table for us, also because we just booked 1.5 hours before so he does not understand why I complain so much. I told him because is cold and we choose to come to a restaurant and not eat outdoors with the cold. He offered me a cup of margarita to warm me up. Nevertheless the food also got cold in like 3 min after it got on the table and we had to eat with our coat on. Some other couples left next to us because of the same reason. Last but not least 5 min after we finished the food they put the bill on the table, we did not even ask for it. Worse customer service and the gerente should take some trainings how to deal with people.
Although I have been to this restaurant several times and have enjoyed it, this last time was one of the worst! Only a few hours before the reservation, the restaurant sent an sms to inform they wouldn't accept cards as a method of payment but they had the ATM available... Besides that, the plates for starters were dirty and we had to request they be changed. Moreover, the bill was brought to us without us requesting it, which was unpleasant and straight after we paid, we still hadn't even gotten up and the waiter just frantically started to remove everything from the table!
Is too spensive , they dont ask if you want the meet Rare, medium or well done,

We skipped the brunch idea for Sunday and looked for a easy but fulfilling lunch. We couldn't have been treated better than this one. João was friendly since we stepped in the restaurant. Nice place easy-going, many choices available and the best burger for a mid-range restaurant we've tasted in Lisbon the past 2.5 years we live here. Till the next time. Not a good quality of food!! The manager has an attitude and is not accommodating! The menu has a large selection of food but lacking the specialty
It was my 5th time here and I have never experienced such a slow, disorganized and bad service. Food was okayish but starter and main course came at the same time. Ah they also have margarita 2x1 promo, the first thing I was told, we are out of tequila, because yesterday was Saturday....hmmm excuse me?
The food is not as advertised. It is not mexican, for sure it’s not tex-mex. The manager is rude and the food is below average. Not recommend this by any means. The beer is good though.
Service is slow but nice she actually forgot us. Food was stale and boring set up for tourists that will leave and never come back. They do not take credit cards reason being they said that their machine was “broke” They prefer under the table cash. They did not let us know when we first sat down.
We went to Contrabando for a team lunch and booked through the app The Fork. We had a great discount from the app on the menu. I specified that we wanted a quiet table. When we arrived, we were taken to the table just next to the bar counter kitchen entrance. It was super noisy. When I asked if we could sit somewhere else, the answer was simply “no”. They don’t have a menu. You need to view it online. There is no QR code, you need to go to the website yourself or view through The Fork. The service was quick and the food was good. Not the best, but good enough. The waiters behave as if they are super miserable and hate being there. No one smiles. They don’t do anything to make you feel comfortable. They are on their phones and everything seems like it’s too much. When the drinks were served they were smashed on the table. When we wanted to pay, we were told that the machine was broken. So we received a HANDWRITTEN bill with just the amounts and the total. I paid as there was no way of checking. I was told in the evening I would receive the bill via email. I had to chase and follow up for one week to finally receive the digital bill. When it was sent it just came as an attachment no additional message. So again food was ok but probably the worst service I’ve seen so far in Lisbon. I will not be returning and will warn everyone not to go either.

Good service, great menu with lots of meat to choose from. I had the best ribs I've ever eaten. My friend had chicken tacos that was also excellent, especially the curry sauce. The homemade French pommes were also very good. Come back!
The food was disappointing. We had good appetizers, but the main dishes need a great improvement.
