What a great find. The sushi is delicious ? My husband had (I can’t remember the name) a beautiful nigiri bowl. The presentation was a visual treat, with a fountain. Great for a first date or special night out. The menu... I personally can't wait to go back and try their ramen bowls. View all feedback.
What Beth Oluwadare doesn't like about Matsu Japanese:
I went in hungry and left hungry. This is not what I am use to eating. I couldn't even finish my salad the dressing wasn't good. I usually love to eat the salads. I got teriyaki chicken and there was too much teriyaki sauce on it for me. View all feedback.
Nice and clean place. Amazing presentation. The fish are fresh, and the waitresses are attentive and helpful. Definitely will go again
Amazing food. Great staff. Step out of the house and enjoy small business eats.
Went on a Tuesday night to celebrate a birthday of a man who used to eat at Matsu often before the pandemic when he worked in the area. The gyoza was crispy all over instead of lightly pan fried on bottom and steamed on top. The Nabe Yaki Soba had almost flavorless broth, except for the heat from a bit of chili powder just awful. There was an unsupervised child of the staff alone at a table near us speaking loudly while playing a video game with an opponent on line, and it was hard to get the attention of the wait staff once they sat down to eat their own dinner while we were still at our table. On the good side the tuna and sushi rolls were very good and the decor is quite nice. The music playing when we sat down at our table was a solo piano playing John Denver's Country Roads Take Me Home which I found quite amusing in that setting. Don't think we will be going back. We wonder if the place has changed hands, as it used to be outstanding on all fronts.

This is a casual Japanese restaurant and bar. Perfect for a quick dinner after work. The service was top notch. I sat at the bar and the sushi chef made me a lil special roll as an appetizer while I waited for my food (without ordering it. I did not LOVE the food, although that could have just been the rolls I ordered (Amber roll and maryland roll .I’d give their food another chance if I’m ever in the area again. Parking: Strip mall
