When myself and two other work colleagues arrived at the unicorn on a Friday morning for breakfast, we were asked to put on blue booties, when asked why we were... read more When myself and two other work colleagues arrived at the unicorn on a Friday morning for breakfast, we were asked to put on blue booties, when asked why we were told by the lady with the dark hair and red shirt that she would have to clean the floor after us , our boots were clean but we had hi-vis vests on us , a family arrived after us and did not have to put on booties, it made us feel they didn’t want us there, we’ve had breakfast in other establishments in the area and we’re always made feel welcome but not here, had the 11.95 breakfast which was quite sparse smallest fried egg I’ve ever had, no side plates for toast , asked for extra butter off the same lady and was handed about 20 portions with a smart ‘is that enough’ , coffee was ok , lads and lasies you’re better off heading to one of the garages for food, better value and you’re not judged

Had ordered bacon and mushrooms to follow came out with the porridge so the rashers where like leather and service was **** also. Especially the know it all guy behind the bar in the coat and jeans. Never again.

The staff were so lovely and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The place had such a warm, relaxed vibe, which made it the perfect spot for everyone to enjoy themselves. We loved the menus with our daughter’s picture on them, such a fab touch! The food was unreal — our guests haven’t stopped talking about it! We had so many people telling us how much they enjoyed it! We also had 2 guest who were gluten free and the manager addressed them directly and made sure they got their own plates which they were delighted about! Thank you to the whole team for making everything so easy and memorable. We’re genuinely so glad we chose this venue, and we’d recommend it to anyone planning a celebration.
