A fantastic place to eat, especially for breakfast or lunch. We've been coming here for the last 10 years every 6 months or so, on our trips to Kerry. The food is always so fresh and they update the menu regularly so always something different. The Buddha bowl and prawn tostada on our last trip was delicious. Good vegetarian options are always available. Price is relatively good and the service is always great. We'll be back again soon
We have visited The Good Room many times and most of the time the food is very good. There’s good choice on the menu and something for everyone. However, the service is an issue unfortunately. It takes far too long to order , we’ve often had to wait a good 15/20 mins after seating and then have to go get a waitress ourselves or try to get the attention of one. It’s a pity because as mentioned the food is consistently good but poor service leaves a bad taste I’m afraid.
This well-loved and reasonably priced café is situated just across the street from the church on the Limerick side of Adare. It features freshly baked treats and a variety of thoughtfully crafted menu options.
The French toast was generous and tasty. It would improve if the plates were warmed, as serving a cold second course detracts from the overall dining experience.
I visited The Oakroom on a Monday afternoon and had a disappointing experience. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast, but it came with slices of bacon. My husband chose the beef baguette, which was so hard that even a knife couldn’t cut it. We mentioned these issues to the waitress but, not wanting to cause a fuss, only asked for two slices of bread to replace the baguette. This request wasn’t fulfilled until we caught the attention of a second waitress, who then offered us a dessert or tea/coffee, which we declined as we had already had two coffees. When paying, they deducted the cost of the two coffees from our bill, but despite this, I cannot recommend this place based on our experience.
