My family and I had a wonderful Sunday lunch at McLaughlins, warmly greeted by Shannon and Kevin. The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes. I chose the Caesar Salad, and my fiancée enjoyed the beef. Our order was promptly taken by a friendly young lady named Sarah. The service was speedy, and the portions generous. The food was absolutely delicious. McLaughlins has quickly become our favorite spot for Sundays. The prices are very reasonable as well. A big thank you to the entire team and the chef for their exceptional 5-star service!
The staff at McLaughlins were fantastic. Throughout our three-night stay, we ate at the pub every evening, and each time the menu exceeded our expectations. The local specialties were exceptional.
I had never eaten at Mclaughlins before, only attended weddings there. I was pleasantly impressed by the excellent and friendly service, although the wine glass refills were a bit slow. The menu featured high-quality dishes that were beautifully presented, and everyone in our group was satisfied. My starter, the Seafood Chowder, was as delicious as any I’ve had elsewhere, and my main course, the Sea Bass fillet, was cooked perfectly. I didn’t try dessert, but others in my group said they were excellent. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would certainly come back to Mclaughlins.
My wife and I stayed at the Castletroy Park Hotel at the end of June and decided to try McLaughlins on-site, which was both convenient and inviting. We were not disappointed. We shared a chicken dish with cabbage and bacon, and sea bass with mixed green vegetables (cabbage, asparagus, and green beans)—both were excellent. The menu offered a great variety of options, and for dessert, I had a chocolate bomb. Although my wife can’t recall her exact choice, she remembers it being delicious. The service was efficient but not particularly warm. The wine list was decent, though the staff seemed unfamiliar with the selections. Our bottle was brought without any introduction and simply placed on the table for us to open and pour, with a bucket provided later to keep it chilled. Despite these minor issues, I would gladly dine at McLaughlins again, primarily for the quality of the food.
