We ate at the bar our final night in Peru. The food was easily some of the best we had over our entire 2-week trip. The bartender, was professional, creative and made some amazing cocktails.

Tragaluz has the best staff. Everyone is super friendly and make yourself very comfortable and welcome. You go out their way to talk to you and make sure you have a very good experience. I was several times and the food is also excellent. I recommend the Polpo Antichuchos and duck with mushroom Risotto. Two of the best dishes. The tuna viche, steaktar and hamburgers are delicious.

Tragaluz is located at Belmond Miraflores Park Hotel. The restaurant has both a covered and heated terrace room for a fresco dining experience and an interior with a vibrant mural that anchors its ambience of contemporary elegance. The menu is occasionally updated and offers dishes that offer a cosmopolitan flair to traditional Peruvian favorites such as their Saltado Tragaluz, which improves on the traditional lomo salado by exchanging lomo with flank steak. The dessert menu also offers Andean flavors such as Cherimoya and Lùcuma. Because Tragaluz 's Klientel are often hotel guests from overseas, the menu is both Spanish and English, so there is no guess here if Spanish 't is your native language. The waiters are perfectly designed. They are well versed with the menu and can offer wine pairing suggestions as well as alternatives to food restrictions. Many speak well English, and they do not think about chatting, but also balancing their service in order not to be excessively attentive. When we were there, our server went out to explain the Lùcuma fruit and two pots of their homemade Lùcuma ice cream, which was just divine.

Great restaurant with funky decor and a beautiful selection of classic Peruvian dishes. outdoor and indoor areas. Waiters speak English and it is in a beautiful hotel. There is a park and sea view when you go at the right time from day to year!

On our first day in Lima, we were lucky to have stumbled upon Tragaluz. It is a fabulous restaraunt, excellent setting, with Ann ideal patio. You can go wrong with anything here. The wine, the drink menu, the salmon tartar you name it, everything was delicious. Absolutely impeccable service. I'll definitely be back again.
