The prices are typical of restaurants around Kennedy Park. About 6 to 9 dollars for a big meal and a drink. Food is of a high standard, and the customer service was satisfactory. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about San Marcelo:
My wife and I ate there with our 1 yr old son. Food was decent and atmosphere was fine. However, when they ran our credit card for the bill, we noticed that the amount that was charged to our card was more than what was indicated on the bill. We pointed it out to the staff and, eventually, the manager. We showed them the charge to our credit card on our smartphone, that it didn't match the bill. First they just denie... View all feedback.
Very large menu and variety of Peruvian and other ethnic dishes. The staff was friendly, spoke English, gave suggestions and service was prompt. Close to our hotel.
The dishonestness here. I'm not a big drinker, so I don't know if all Miraflores restaurants are about 2 for 1 Pisco Sour offers or just San Marcelo. Annoyed. Pay your drink and get your two and get a welcome to stop the fraud I suspect. Do not order your drinks strongly.
After I toured many of the restaurants in this neighborhood, I was looking for a decent meal, without offensive music in my ears, people scream, etc. The chairs are padded, toilets clean, prep area looks neat, lots of soap and hot water, no one takes nose there, etc. The cost of eating is 30% less than what you find in most of the coke and urps in the alley on the road. I ate there two meals, lomo salino con papas al pure. (stir fried steak with peppers, onions, tomatoes a quarter rotisserie chicken with potato pulp). The latter came with a cup of rice, perfectly made and delicious. It was a bit too much strength, so I would have asked for a salad. I had Chicha morado for a drink. My whole meal came to 24 Soles or $8. By the way, the potatoes were made with cream and cheese and were delicious. You can find cheaper food if you are looking, but you get what you pay. The waiting staff was also very attentive.
I had eaten here before and it was ok cheap and small portions after a refurb or maybe under new management I returned here, it was ok before but now it is FANTASTIC, the food and choice are top mark. Great welcoming staff nice ambience and lots of space, sometimes lacking in Peruvian restaurants.I had the best Tipakay I've ever eaten in 6 years of eating in Lima and at S/15 for the quality of it the best moneywise too, they know how to fill up a hungry man with generous portions and a plate to fit the meal.My wife had seafood with Arroz Chaufa I'm not a fan of seafood but did try some and it was nice, but not for me, 3 days later we returned for another meal and we both had Pollo enrollada and chaufa again amazing presentation and flavour, value for money. The restaurant is situated right by a busy junction but get inside the restaurant and you will not be bothered by it I was not. It's a small walk from Parque Kennedy easy to find you enter it rather than being hustled into it, they clearly know their food will capture you for a return visit they did me, in fact its going to be my regular hangout.

We pointed it out to the staff and, eventually, the manager. We showed them the charge to our credit card on our smartphone, that it didn't match the bill. First they just denied that there was an error. After a few minutes of arguing, they just became rude and belligerent, saying it was our problem, not theirs!! They never fixed the problem in the end, unbelievable! Don't waste your money here, there are many other better options in Lima.
