Deliciosa comida, atencion de primera, rapidos ,atentos y sobre todo interesante experiencia de un lugar intimo y muy rico.
Puede probar sus finos cortes en casa o también aprovechar la parrilla que hacen aquí, aunque el sitio es muy pequeño, su principal atracción es las carnes crudas para hacerlas en casa. Magnificos cortes.
GourMeats is a steak house as you will find so many in Lima and the world, but there are some differences I think are worth pointing out. From what I understand, the place began as a kind of butcher shop and had all kinds of cuts of high quality beef and other proteins packed for pickup. At a later stage, the owner realized that the consumption of expensive beef is not an everyday business in Lima, started the barbecue area of his store. The restaurant area is somewhat tiny and in cold Lima nights in July-August probably even smaller as you cannot use the terrace. The sausages and meat from the grill come perfectly boiled to order, not something that of course in Peru, as the Peruans usually grill meat at least to medium. But it is cooked under medium, where you can actually say the quality of the meat. I was amazed by a grilled tuna steak without fishy properties, neither in colour nor in taste. Very delicate and delicious from the grill. And also interesting was what they did with grilled potatoes. You pull the whole potato inside, taste and spices it, put it back in the potato and then grill it. Never seen before and the taste of the potato was much more intense than what I experienced with potatoes before. I have to note that if I ever want to eat steaks in the USA, I go to Brazilian rodizios because I can get several flavors, the grill is with more devotion, etc. as in standard steak houses that bore me to death (I call it the McDonalds for rich people), So GourMeat does not excite me as other restaurants, but the quality that I would find is in
