we are native and have been in the pub several times with the new management. a very friendly team offers a large selection of changing real ales with 2 local from the ludlow brewery on a few of our visits. at present. to choose a chalkboard for customers so that they can judge which people enjoy. there are many places to sit 2 bars and the restaurant area with some cozy 4 seats, which are strapped away from the mass... This restaurant is very traditional. I stopped in for a drink after visiting the mill. The pint was nice, but it was even better if you enjoy using the restroom afterwards and hearing the locals ask the bartender, "Did he buy a drink?" Yes, I did - in fact, I bought two drinks and a packet of crisps, if that's any of your business! View all feedback.
Just returned from a week's holiday in Church Stretton and tried here on the first night. The choice of meals and the quality were excellent, the service from the staff could not be faulted with them all being both cheerful and helpful. In fact we...enjoyed it so much that we visited 3 times.
What can I say... The staff in this place are a dream! We popped in after a walk with our doggie and they were very accommodating of him, we had a good seat in the bar area and the team even made us pork baguettes...especially as we weren't aware that it was a Sunday lunch menu only that was running, and we were only looking for a light bite. I will definitely return next time I'm in the area, and would really recommend stopping over. Charming country pub that deserves all the love
This restaurant is a great spot for dining and enjoying a beer. The bartender who served us was very friendly and provided us with a delicious beer. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. I highly recommend this place if you happen to stop by.
Nice place, clean tidy, good service.
Very nice Sunday roast. Couldn't fault the food or the service. Dogs allowed in the bar and the top part of the restaurant but limited seating in these areas.
