He failed to explain... read more Came here for lunch with a friend I hadn 't seen in 30+ years. Small wait for a table, but shown to a table by a gentleman and given menus. He failed to explain that you have to place an order at the bar, although asked if we had any allergies, so we talked for a bit expecting waiter service. We both ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and chips this was £9.50 plus £2.75 for fries. The good came out reasonably quickly. The Philly was supposed to be brisket with onions peppers and cheese. Not much meat in it and oddly it had red kidney beans in it. Whilst not allergic, I 'm not keen and noticed that the "brisket chili was also on the menu. All I can think is they must use the same mix for everything. To me it was poor value at £13 for a sandwich and fries. The coffee is decent and the food interest... read more You don't come to Faro lounge for high cuisine but what you get is excellent. It's very pleasant to enjoy lunch here. The coffee is decent and the food interesting, well prepared and flavoursome. The décor is worth a mention, being an eclectic blizzard of artworks and artefacts, some of which are pretty good.
