The me... read more We enjoyed a delicious vegan pie with chips, peas, and gravy at this restaurant. My friend opted for the veggie mac and cheese, which was also delicious. The menu had a good variety of options, all clearly labeled. Although we missed out on trying the Sunday roast, we heard it is fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a great selection of drinks. It was nice to revisit this old favorite after many years. We look forward to coming back again.

While there are no vegan options on the menu, the staff were accommodating and willing to modify dishes. We enjoyed a delicious veganized version of the vegetarian chilli, and there were plenty of vegan craft beers available as well.

All considerations for food alledrgies and specific dietry needs (just ask the bar staff, they listen and make good your food order to your specific requirements). I have loved this pub ever since moving to sussex in 2000, it has changed a little but maintained its great food menu(legendary sunday lunch menu) which is why I keep going back whenever opportunity arises/allows.
