They overprice the wine versus the price mentioned on the menu. Always doublecheck your bill. Even when you point the difference out, they refuse to correct. A pity, because the food and view is good.

After this place going down the hill and it’s been 3 years since we dared return but as we heard its new owners and staff we thought to give it a go as it really has the best views in town. Restaurant is on the beach overlooking the sea and if you book an outdoor table you ca enjoy the sea waves and views. Finally, this place is trying to impress and got a great menus and wine list to cater to all from sea dishes to meat or even simpler pasta/pesto. Ate with my husband and although the main staff have only been in place for one week, service was fantastic, friendly and open to ideas . My Food was excellent, branzino in fondent and husband ordered the mixed fish starter which was way too much for one person and should of been explained that’s its enough for 2 to share as doesn’t say that on menu and we were not told. However, I happily enjoyed sharing it and it was delicious. The pasta dish my husband thought was a little over cooked and not al dente as he likes but my mixed grilled fish was massive and great. My husband and son had grape I ce cream which the enjoyed A meal for 3 people including water and a bottle of wine , 2 liquors at the end was €130. It’s new and has room to improve but great staff and views although they should offer locals a liquore at the end without charging.

Booked last minute as I arrived in Levanto, a well-known place to me. New management, after seeing the place closed down for a couple of seasons. Had some expectations as I 've heard the new chef is from Naples and seafood should be good. Well, maybe. Don 't want to sound like the snobby type as I 'm not. Give me a lousy looking place but with good earthy food at reasonable price and I 'm in heaven. Very modest looks (bar the sea-view) accompanied by equally modest food at very exuberant price. Two antipasti, a very much forgettable insalata di polpo (octopus salad) and an average moscardini in barchetta (baby octopus in tomato sauce). Chose a gran fritto misto main course (deep-fried seafood) and it was definitely a forgettable experience. Tons of chips (WHO has ever seen chips in a fritto misto) in a very average batter with some seafood. Wine choice very bad. no list, no price, some local wines that any foreigner wouldn 't be able to tell apart unless properly guided through. Service good, they didn 't forget baisc manners. Two antipasti, one shared main course, 1 bottle of wine and 1 bottle of still mineral water € 78. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. With some regret, must say that they 're not worth more more than 1 star. Let 's wait for next management.
