On route to Sligo, we stopped off in C-on-S and dined in Himalayan... if you can get over the slightly dated decor (which, actually, shound not change as it rem... read more On route to Sligo, we stopped off in C-on-S and dined in Himalayan... if you can get over the slightly dated decor (which, actually, shound not change as it reminds me of dining in northern India/ Southern Nepal), you will not be disappointed with the...quality of food ... it's fresh, it's flavoursome, its plentiful... the service couldn't be faulted for their laissez faire regard for the clock...it only allows time to appreciate food all the more! Their phone rang continuously for take away orders, lucky locals get to order from here any time they like! Namaste to the chef.

If you can get over the very basic interior decor which let's face it looks like an extremely poor DIY job you will be in for...a treat. The food was hot fresh and super tasty. Fluffy rice and great depth of flavour in the curries. Portions were excellent. There's no doubt I will return to this bastion of Asian flavour anytime I come within driving distance of Carrick on Shannon.

Take aways in Longford are open and are allowed to open. Its all doom and gloom at present so i am...sure good food will give us a lift!
