Outside is best because the restaurant is situa... read more We had dinner here one cool evening in September. The inside of the restaurant has a unique and attractive look. Outside is best because the restaurant is situated on a very busy pedestrian alley which is lined with cafes bars and restaurants and which bustles with people passing by, mostly looking for free tables if my experience is anything to go by! The gas heating kept us plenty warm enough. Service was excellent and English menus are available on request. I had a beef carpaccio to start, which was excellent. Unfortunately though, the kitchen cooked the wrong main for me, however they quickly rectified the situation. My veal schnitzel (advertised as veal cutlets) was good, but my partners fillet steak was superb. We washed this down with a good, but overpriced, Reisling. This place is expensive for Leipzig, but overall I was happy with our evening there.

Despite the crowds the bustle Furst was a haven of tranquility , where we ate an excellent lunch. I had the best Schnitzel in a long time, my partners chicken salad had not been drowned in mayonnaise. Attentive service from the proprietor and a bill which didn't suprise.
